Hello, I recently purchased a new MaxiDas Ds708, Serial Number # DS037Q011890 .

 

The Unit runs very slow, and freezes often, more than 80 percent of the time.  

 

Sometimes when I turn it on I get an error that reads “USB open failure4” or “Enter the name of the driver for this USb device”

Other times if you turn it on and don’t get any type of error message as soon as you click on anything the device becomes unresponsive and the clock in the upper left hand corner of the screen stops.  Ive left it set like that for as loang as 5 hours and it never recovers.  

 

Things Ive tried……I have updated the SD card.  If I get an error, I have turned the unit off, removed the SD card and reinserted it, making sure it is fully seated.

 The next thing I was going to try was buying a new SD card and copying to contents of the old one to the new one.  I'm not sure if it's even a problem with the card thought. When I search for other people having problems tgat seems to solve it for them. 

 Thanks for the response. By updating the firmeware is that the process of downloading the PC suite , putting the SD card in the adapter and connecting it to the the computer .  Then I can select the auto manufactures I wish to update?   I did that, I didn't select all the manufactures , just the makes that I thought I would use.     Since then when I turn the maxisdas on , sometimes it will flash a dialog box that says something like loading vehicle software.
